Certified Event Coordinator

After years of working with the Tent Guys, Pam realized her flair and attention to detail in planning events.  In 2006 she enrolled for the Special Event Certification Program at Lakeland College in Sherwood Park, AB – where she was trained by leaders in the Edmonton Event Industry.  Pamela graduated with her Special Event Coordinating Certification with distinction from Lakeland College in 2007.

 

Pamela became a member of MPI (Meeting Professionals International) and was chosen as a Future Leader of the Meetings Industry.  As such she was awarded a spot at the 2007 IMEX Future Leaders Forum, which was held in conjunction with the MPI International Education Congress in Montreal, Quebec.  Of the 30 students selected from across North America to attend this forum she was the only Canadian.

 

Pamela's previous employment as the Event Rental Coordinator at the Lloydminster Agricultural Exhibition Association has given her experience with a wide variety of events - including weddings, tradeshows, and fundraising gala's.  In her 14 months the the LAEA she was involved with over 800 events at the facilities.
